Michael P. Markins
Michael joined the firm in 2006 after working several years for a large West Virginia defense firm. His practice focuses on insurance defense, construction law and trucking and transportation matters. Mr. Markins has also successfully defended matters involving allegations of professional negligence against lawyers and insurance agents. Michael graduated from Marshall University and the West Virginia University College of Law, where he won four awards for individual classroom performance, as well as the Patrick Duffy Koontz Award recognizing outstanding leadership and academic achievement. In addition, Michael was a member of the West Virginia Law Review in 2000 and 2001 and finished his law school years as an Order of the Coif graduate. Michael is the proud father of two young twin children, Ethan and Emma.
